WHAT IS ANIMAL REIKI?

WHAT IS ANIMAL REIKI?

Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique of relaxation and healing. Some people say that Reiki is new age, but that's a misconception. It's actually been around for hundreds of years, but it's fairly new to America. Simply speaking, Reiki is a "hands-on" (or in Animal Reiki more often by distance) method of reducing stress, promoting relaxation and speeding up their body's own natural physical healing process. The word healing has a different meaning from the actual accepted meaning. Healing in Reiki has physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits.

Since animals can't communicate verbally, they give signs of acceptance of the energy, such as lying down, falling asleep, sighing, deep breathing, yawning, smelling hands and more.

Reiki can be dehydrating, so it's important for your animal to drink adequate amounts of water.

Emotional Aspect
Feeling stressed out for whatever reason, which can turn into negative energy a.k.a. unhappiness, frustration and anger. Reiki turns that stress into positive energy so that they're more balanced, relaxed, feeling positive and happy. As we know, stress is the number one cause of illness or disease in the physical body. This can affect animals in many ways, causing physical and emotional problems. The most common problem is separation anxiety.

Physical Aspect
If they injure themselves, they're going to feel pain in that one specific area. Think of that as a cluster of energy all in one place, Reiki releases the energy to lessen the pain and promote the healing, recovery process. It also clears away toxic and stagnant energies, as well as boosting the immune system. Such as helping arthritis, digestion issues, etc.

Reiki treats the whole body, emotions, mind and spirit, and creates many beneficial effects, including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Because Reiki is guided by God, it can never do harm. I call upon God before I perform Reiki. Another misconception is that Reiki is a religion or that it replaces a religion. Reiki is not a religion, people of all religions give and receive Reiki.

It's always helpful. Animals are very attuned to energy, more so than humans. So they are very contented after Reiki. Reiki is both powerful and gentle. Reiki will improve the results of all medical treatment, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism.

Reiki is often described as a love energy. If they allow, Reiki offers unconditional love. While I perform Reiki, I send the animal all my unconditional love and positive energy in me (just as they give the same to us). Reiki gives them a deep knowing that they're loved.
